Appaloosa stone or Wild Horse Magnesite, is a natural gemstone commonly found in the Gila Wilderness Area in Southern Arizona. It is often referred to as "Wild Horse" because it resembles the pattern of a Pinto pony. The Navajos like using this unusual stone in their jewelry. The color is usually white with chocolate brown matrix and shadowed hues give it a striking look.
