White Calcite QTY-1/2LB
A ray of unpolarized light passing through the crystal divides into two rays of perpendicular polarization
directed at different angles, called double refraction. So objects seen through the crystal appear doubled.
Our white Calcite is simular to Iceland Spar shapes but not clear, whiter.
Mostly in chips and cubic shape.
Unpolished CALCITE rhombohedron three-dimensional cube!!
-Calcite is a very common mineral and is a main component in chalk, limestone, and marble.
-Calcite is a crystalline form of calcium carbonate
-Calcite is from the Greek word "chalx" which means "lime"
-Most sea organisms such as corals, algae and diatoms make their shells out of calcite, they pull carbon dioxide from the sea water to accomplish this.
-Calcites are of the most diverse and abundant crystals, and they happen in a variety of forms and colors.
