Howlite is an uncommon boron-based mineral, and is normally white or colorless with thin black veins. It was first discovered by and named for Canadian chemist and geologist Henry How in 1868, who found it while investigating a gypsum quarry.
I have wanted to order Howlite for a while and finally did and HAPPY I did. Very pretty and some pieces are small enough to make necklaces.
