Natural Citrine has a light golden yellow (think white wine) to light or deep golden brown, almost smoky color. depending on the region the citrine is mined. The bright orange-yellow color many associate with citrine is often heat-treated amethyst. Generally natural citrine crystals are fairly clear and raw crystal points usually have straight sides.
