Formed when boron forms compounds with iron-sodium molecules, Schorl black tourmaline, or simply black tourmaline, derives its name from the German village of Zschorlau where it was first discovered in a nearby tin mine in the late 1300s.

Orgonite is a man-made material composed of resin, metal shavings, and crystals. These components are mixed and poured into molds, then allowed to harden. These pieces contain 100% natural black tourmaline.
